What you'd have

The systems that run it day to day

The internal systems IX runs on every day: support, error triage, business monitoring, payments and releases.

An operating cockpit

Internal tools to look up any member, see what they see (including simulating their subscription and trial state), review bug reports, audit coaching quality, and manage growth experiments, all from one place.

What it gives you

Support and operations that diagnose a customer’s problem by seeing it, not guessing at it.

What makes this version different

  • A dedicated simulator with 13 views covering the subscription, payment and session states that tend to cause support tickets.
  • Built up continuously since May 2023, with checks that flag an admin route missing access control before it’s committed.

Errors grouped and ranked for triage

Errors and notable events from across the product flow into one place, where repeats of the same failure collapse into a single item with a count and a severity score, surfaced in an admin feed by severity.

What it gives you

Signal instead of noise: an issue affecting hundreds of sessions shows up once, ranked, rather than as hundreds of lines.

What makes this version different

  • Designed around failures actually met in production, including a past case where one path bypassed the normal logging; the fix was built into the storage layer itself.
  • Tuned to exclude test and automation noise, so test runs don’t bury real problems.
  • Paired with pre-commit checks written in response to specific past incidents, which flag the same class of bug before it can be committed again.

Monitors on the business’s vital signs

Eleven always-on monitors watching session health, trial conversion, ad spend, funnel retention, acquisition cost by ad set, landing-page conversion, content attribution, cohort lifetime value, reply rate and referral growth, each able to raise an alert when its number moves.

What it gives you

Problems in acquisition, activation or retention are designed to surface on their own, not when someone next checks a dashboard.

What makes this version different

  • The choice of which eleven numbers deserve a dedicated monitor, and the tuning of each, came from running the business.

Payments designed not to lock out paying members

Subscriptions, trials, invoices and disputes turned into access for each member, with admin tools for dispute review.

What it gives you

The layer that turns a payment into a working product, including the edge cases.

What makes this version different

  • Deliberately designed so that if a check errors, a paying member keeps access rather than being wrongly shut out.
  • Different kinds of payment-event failure are handled differently (unknown member, duplicate event, general error), the kind of detail that usually follows real incidents.

Releases that can roll themselves back

Features and AI changes reach a growing percentage of members in stages, with pause, rollback and an error circuit breaker.

What it gives you

Ship frequent AI changes without an all-or-nothing switch.

What makes this version different

  • Built as a portable module with its own tests, including handling specific to how AI model errors show up in practice.
